As above, got a massive judder when trying to move the car via engine power alone. Do the clutch plates stick together if its been stood for a while, or do i need to take a look at the plates etc to look for warpage.?.

Sound like warped steels to me. Take them out and check them for flatness. They'll probably look scorched too./

An uprated spring may help but not by much in my experience.

From experience with bikes I have had problems if I changed the oil manufacturer so I allways use mobil 1.
I have had juddering and plates sticking together until I took the plates out and replaced even though they looked OK.

make sure you use bike oil, not car oil as a lot of car oil contain compounds which ruins bike clutches..

fully sinthetic or not.

Some seem to say semi synthetic only because clutches dont like fully synth but IMHO its a complete urban myth. I know of at least half a dozen BECs that have run solely on fully synthetic for years and never had any problems whatsoever, as GMan says just make sure its bike (SG rated) oil, not your usual car oil.

I was using a good quality semi synthetic & both my clutches juddered & snatched horribly as soon as they were warm, stripped clutches,& cleaned metal & fibrous plates with petrol then meths, rebuilt with Putoline bike oil (approx one arm & two legs each for a 4 litre can!!!) & it was absolutely perfect, not just batter, absolutely the woofers gonads, well worth the effort

I have lust taken off clutch etc, looks like i need a new one. 3 steel plates scorched and the clutch plates look quite worn to me. Off to buy some.
