I can't remember how old my spare engine is and I'm about to stick it on eBay. I have got a Haynes manual that lists it on about the 10th
page but I can't find it. Can anyone let me know the age of an engine with a code:
SC33E-2112xxx
I seem to think it was either an RR-T (1996) or RR-V (1997).
I don't need it anymore as I've got a Blackbird Fury now. If anyone is interested here is the listing:

SC33 means is that its a 919cc engine, so 96-99 vintage, my 97 and 99 blade engines both started with SC33. Not sure on the rest of it if the Haynes
manual doesnt narrow it down.
You can tell if its a 98/99 engine though as it will have a speedo pickup sensor on top of the gearbox, whereas the earlier engines dont, they have
the casting mark for mounting it but no actual sensor so that will at least narrow it down to either 96/97 or 98/99.
SC33E-21xxxxx = 1997 RR-V
Cheers for the replies, still can't find my Haynes manual. A google search was pretty much fruitless on the key words I could think of.
Have a look at www.honda-fireblades.co.uk under 'specifications'.
Scroll down to bottom of page.
Lists all the blade engine nos. and model/year of manufacture they relate to.
