Tire opinion: Yokohama A048R
JoaoCaldeira - 10/7/06 at 09:42 AM

Hi.

I'd like to fit some not expensive tires to my almost built car (VortX / R1).

For size, I was thinking about 195x50 R 15.
For rubber I was thinking about Yokohama A048R.
I live in Portugal, so bad weather is not a usual problem; I ride my bike every day, so this will be a fast road toy for the weekend (and for the odd track day)

Thanks in advance,
Joao

Hi Joao

I have these on my Indyblade - 195x50 R 15. Never been out in the wet but they are very good in the dry. Compromise is the soft compound, scrubbed the rears off in under 2000miles with fast road use only.
