My local Hi-Q let me use their MOT emissions machine for free. Guess where I'll go to get my next set of tyres.

I had the standard carbs, jets and needles with a foam filter instead of an airbox and with a cat before a standard R1 exhaust can. Once I'd fitted a better cat, all I had to do was adjust the idle screw on each carb to get lambda in the range, then I tweaked it to lower the HC. CO emissions were really low.

It might be worth checking that your carbs are balanced before you go.

Did you use the MNR Cat with the std R1 Can?

Ox advised me but I put my own exhaust system together.

after renting other companies stuff that didnt work and cost so much going backwards and forwards etc I should have just bought one in the first place.....

right then

standard air box
air filter OUT!
MY twin CAT system
Mixture screws set to a quarter of a turn out(this is a guide line they can be different)

I got 113 HC 1.03 Lamda(ffewwwww)

And 0.00 CO reading

I used a cat that MNR got from someone else.
