BEC wiring

Been thinking about wiring up a BEC.

Whats best to do?

1. Extend bike loom and just use that.

2. Use car loom with bike loom inserted.

How has everyone done theres?

Cheers

I run bike engine loom alongside one for lights etc.......

when striped out the engine loom is quite small including charge circuit etc, if you extend the bec loom there a few things you need too add,

hazards
rear fog

That's the way I do it anyway.

Quite messy extending the bike circuit, and as jon says, there are extra circuits needed. If you really wanted to do this, i suppose you would find a few fuses free in the bike fuse box. However, IMHO its much tidier to fit a proper car loom with a universal fuseboxes etc and proper switches, rather than using all the bike bits.

I extended the bike loom and added extra circuits. That way you get lovely little flasher and headlight relays etc, which are a lot more compact than you're average car unit. I only extended where I really had to though so I could keep as many of the bike connectors intact as possible. I works a treat!

Premier loom is exellent Quality and easy to install, also it uses standard relays which are easy to get hold of
