ZX9R Wiring
mackei23b - 14/11/06 at 11:09 AM

Hi there

Just completing my wiring and just wanted to confirm the following regarding the starting circuit. If you have a ZX9R (C Model) could you confirm the following for me:

1) Neutral Switch - connect to ground.

2) Stand Switch - connect to ground.

3) Clutch Switch - connect to ground.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers

Ian

From what I remember, I think you only need to short out the stand switch and clutch switch. If you ground the neutral switch wire the light will never go off. You also need a 100ohm resistor in ignition. Are the photo's of your engine? because I don't think it's a C model

Hi Andy

Well spotted, the pics of the engine by itself in my archive are indeed a B model, but not the one that was finally fitted to the car. C model fitted to the chassis.

Many thanks, just had a look at your website and I looked over the wiring diagram I have, The Black Yellow wire is an earth so by connecting the Geen/Yellow is the same as a direct earth and confirms my thinking.

P.S. Your car is looking good!
