push button gearshift

is anyone using a push button gearshift system on there bec
i'm considering fitting one with ignition cut to my new build but would like some feedback b4 spending th cash
i've so far looked at klicktronic, proshift and a race gadgets pnuematic system any opinions or other sugestions

I dont imagine it would be to complex to design and build your own to be honest...Encorporate a gear indicator whilst you are at it and any other funky bits that you fancy...

Deffinately cheaper..depends on your skills though

I would have said that the Pneumatic one would be far more precise and faster than an electric one.....and in a car the size of the compressor isnt going to be an issue..

mk blade (Tony) uses the pro shift, looks very impressive i'm sure he will provide you with some very good feedback.

I'll be using Kliktronic. Seen it used to good effect on a Megabird and a ST Locoblade.

Have you used it without the ignition cut?

If so, what's the big benefit?

Ignition cut turns off the spark, killing the power. This unloads the dogs on the gears alowing a clean shift without knackering the gears.

i have the klicktronic on mine
swmbo says there spaz buttons
worked well on the zx9, but havent got around to fitting them on the blade yet !
but soon

once you have it set up right its great,
but its alot messing at first !

if the price is right i might even sell them !!

only been used for 500 miles ! if that !

I made my own with RC servo´s

i have everything electric.

Clutch
Throttle
Gearchange..

Have incorporated the cut the power to coils and injectors but didn´t fancy connecting it yet.

first i need OTR etc. etc..

3Amps at 6volts = 18Watts..

23Kg/Cm

The gearbox lever needs peaky torque
Sow i used one 5Amp regulator at 6volts for that one.

You will need electronics to steer the servo. (Microcontroller)
