Hi there
I am trying to source some 10mm diameter copper fuel pipe and some 32mm diameter copper pipe for the coolant.
I know some have used aluminium tube for the cooling, but I would prefer copper so that I can silver solder a couple of T pipes for the oil cooler and
header tank.
Have you used copper pipe for your build, if so could you recommend any suppliers.
Many thanks in advance.
Cheers
Ian
I'd start with your local plumbing merchants for copper pipe. Common sizes I've come across are Ø8mm (micro-bore), Ø10mm, Ø15mm and Ø22mm. I think you can get Ø32/34mm, but wouldn't swear to it.
use 28mm copper, and solder ring fittings.
with the swage for the solder ring, you'll not get much closer to a 32mm end with a nice pipe securing lip.

I agree, 28mm should be fine, anyway, that's what I'm using. I machined up some ends out of brass to suit the 32mm rubber tube i.d. For the
smaller tube you could put a single flare or solder on an olive.

10mm Copper on a roll from plumbers merchants. Used for Central Heating.
32mm I sourced some ally tube and some stainless tube of eBay. The stainless (as recommended on here) was hoover pipe. Is is polished so looks very
good as was a about £2.00 for a 500mm length.
The ally ismore substantial but will allow me to have takeoff welded in for the smaller hoses.
