Just make sure it has had the clutch basket mod if it is a very early model. Although I would be very surprised if it hadn't as it was a warranty / factory recall.

I've got a 99 4xv engine for sale. Needs new pistons but otherwise OK. Great if you want to put forged pistons in it or get one of TTS' sets of over bore pistons.

If you are going carb'd the 5JJ (2000-2001) model is a better bet. Slightly stronger transmission and the ECU map was supposed to have smoother power delivery.
