
I'm wiring up my blade engine using/cannibalising the Tiger loom I already had to extend the 'blade loom where necessary. As I don't
have the blade ignition switch, I also want to use the Sierra ignition switch instead.
After consulting the Haynes 'blade wiring diag. am I right in thinking the 'blade ignition switch only has one 'on' position? (as
opposed to the Sierra's three)
And hence am I also right in thinking this single 'on' position gives a feed to the blade's starter circuit (via a start push-button),
a feed to the fusebox and a seperate fused feed to the cooling fan and switch? (or is the fan and switch meant to have a permanent non-switched feed
to it independent of the ignition switch?)
Have others used the Sierra ignition switch and, if so, can you confirm how you wired it to the blade's ignition switch multi-plug?)

I used the Sierra switcch as a replacement so most of everything, except fan, sidelights and horn all turn off together, sierra start position fires starter relay on mine too.

Reman, are you saying that you have a permanent (non-switched) live feed for your horn, fan and sidelights or that you wired them up to say, the auxilliary position 1 (yellow wire) of the Sierra ignition switch with all other circuits wired to position 2 (black/yellow wire) and the Starter relay connected to the sprung position 3 (black/blue wire) doing away with the need for a start push-button?

So is it an SVA requirement that the horn has a permanent fused feed (I know that production vehicles tend to have a permanent feed to the horn) or
can I wire it up as per the blade wiring (i.e via the ignition switch?)
Also, ditto the cooling fan.
Can I get away with it switched or should it have a permanent fused feed to enable it to run, should it need to, once the ignition is turned off. (i.e
are BEC's prone to 'heat soak' once they're stationary after a blast?)

Apparantly you don't need the horn for an SVA.
But keeping the fan running after switch of is I suppose just a bit of free insurance, but how much it does without the water pump running?/?
