Has anyone converted from cec to bec, then renewed there insurance with the same company, what was the difference like, was it cheaper with bec.

I got a quote last year for a 998cc car. They phoned back a bit later asking if it was a bike engine. I thing the quotes were around £130 for a CEC and £180 for a BEC

i was told by graham skyes (my insurer) that going to bec will increase it about 100%!
