I know it has been asked before (I just can't find the threads for it)...

Is my Yamaha Fazer 1000 is likely to have the same gearbox as an R1?

Does anyone know the gear ratios 1-6 please?

If its the same as the R1 then download the spreadsheet in my avatar below, as that has R1 ratios in it.

fazer gear ratios
primary ratio 1.581
1st 2.500
2nd 1.842
3rd 1.500
4th 1.333
5th 1.200
6th 1.115

Fazer 1st gear is 2.5:1, '98 R1 is 2.6:1, giving 1 more MPH in 1st with a fazer engine than an r1 (3..62 diff and 195/50/15s). The other gears are the same.
