I've done some searching but still can't find a definative answer, i have an 05 R1, what is the route to go with the clutch? standard plates
and double springs? standard plates uprated springs? uprated plates and springs? i'm lost so any opinions and reasons why would be good, also
recommended suppliers.
thanks in advance simon
There are a lot of options depending on your budget.
People on here have had sucess with doubling the springs which increases the pressure on the clutch plates.
I have a barnett clutch. This comes with 80% more friction area plus uprated springs and cost me £136.
The other alternative is the slipper clutch (which I know jack s*it about) but costs £500 plus if you can find one!
There's one on fleabay at the moment. Anyone used one?? Is it worthwhile with an inherantly more stable car??

I wouldn't bother in a car. A bit of clever clutch control seems to suffice!
My '01 R1 clutch is (as far as I'm aware) standard and has been for the last two years/5000 miles! I wouldn't waste your money until
you need a new one!
chris, are the barnet ones for £15 a replacement diaphragm? therefore i just need to buy one, or is it the barnet coil spring conversion at
thebottomof the page?
