Can someone please identify this plug for me and give me a guidline on how to remove it?
Its on a Fireblade 919RV engine
The plug is situated at the starter motor end of the engine close to the bulkhead
Many thanks for any help
Andy
Chris you beat me to it.
I agree this is the main feed from the alternator and it is hard wired in. As Chris has said, what you can see is just a seal.

Cheers guys
Thanks for the quick replies
I assume this end cover can be unbolted and removed without anything falling out??!!!! i'm taking the engine out and this has to come off as the wires go into the loom?...........thanks again..
Sorry there was a question in my last post which was... can i take this genny cover off safely or is the wire in a "plug" that can be pulled out....cheers
If that's from the generator it should have the 3 yellow wires that go to your reg/rec inside it so you should be able to unplug it at the other
end. It's soldered to the alternator segments inside. You'll have to leave the alternator hanging on the end if you do it how you are
suggesting which might not be a good idea.

Thanks...will have a look, there is no plug in the first 10"/11" going back along the wire so will keep looking!!!! probably end up untaping the whole loom........cheers
