Wiring bypasses
DIY Si - 26/4/07 at 06:50 PM

Just want to check I've got this right before I plug my now much thinner loom in and try to fire her up.
Neutral switch - just attach the two wires together.
Clutch switch - same as above.
Tilt sensor - drill a hole and fill with glue/stuff.
I've removed the fuel pump wiring as I intend doing this off the ingnition barrel, seprate to the engine. Will this cause any unforseen hassle? IE does the ecu need to be turning the pump to allow it to fire?
Anything else I've fogotten?

tilt sensor - it was the reight way up when you filled it with glue?.

fuel pump make sure the supply from ign switch is live whilst cranking(not just in pos2)

Whats a tilt sensor on a Blackbird engine?? what engines have it, were is it, do I need it???

I don't know if all have them, but mine does. It stops the engine if you drop the bike. I've not filled mine yet, but it will be the right way up when I do. I only know this because it says TOP on one side. You may not need one, but it does allow the ecu to fire the engine. It can be passed with a 470 ohm resistor, IIRC, but since I have one and some glue that's the free way of doing it!
