Calling all bird owners

I urgently need your help! I'm hoping to get my engine up and running for Stoneleigh, but the airbox is going to mean running without the bonnet or cutting half of it away at the moment!!!! I can't turn the TB's round, as the little yellow adjuster thingy (can't remember it's name) fouls, and the airbox can't be turned as it hits the fuel rail and won't seat.
What have you lot done? I may not have time to make an airbox so am looking for a quick fix, as I will build a new airbox after the show. I also don't have an air filter I could fit, as the old one for my carb'd engine is FUBAR'd.

Don't know if its any use to you but I have a Westfield Megabird airbox available.

Not very low cost as it cost me over £200 for the bare mouldings.

I have added the bird backplate (from the original airbox so all the air bleed holes are correct) and it is fitted with a brand new filter element.

Yours for £80 if you are interested?

edit - to say its for an injection bird which I assume yours is as you refer to TB's

You got any pics? Does it bolt straight on? Yes, my engine is injection.

Yes, bolts straight on.

The air box is arranged to fit in the void at the back of the engine, kind of above the gearbox and behind the throttle bodies and fuel rail.

I haven't got it here at the moment but I guess that the top of the air box (over the trumpets) is something like 100mm above the TB plate.

It was designed to go onder the standard Westfield bonnet with no bulges as far as I know.

It is ready to go, just mounts like the original air box (same backplate) using the ram pipe fixing screws.

There is an access cover over the TB's which allows access to the trumpets for fixing etc.
