Would like some help.

Zzr1100 engine has a perminant power to the coils but no spark any ideas.

i have bridged the stop switch to run permanatly on and i can see power to the coil.

But checking the other side of the coil it is showing no power??

anyway of checking the coil is good or not on both ????

any other ideas welcome.

Highly unlikely that both coils would go down together, if it's spinning over that eliminates any of the sidestand/clutch switches etc. How about an obvious one the kill switch - can't remember if it kills power b4 or after the coils. Is the crank trigger connected? Is the CDI unit connected & got both live & neutral?
I have got wiring digs if you need them.

The stop switch is all i can see on the diagram and all i have done is perm joined the wires is that correct????

still no idea.

Cdi unit has power via the main white power lead.

Any ideas still???????????

Going from memory (bear in mind I'm OLD) crank trigger comes from LHS of engine when viewed from behind, 2 wires into a 2 wire plug which continues into the CDI box. U2U or email if I don't keep track of the thread!

apparantly you need a rsistor in the loom somewhere to get the right power to the cdi unit anyone heard of this ???????????
