We built by KISS, (keep it simple stupid)

so copied the same way the engine was mounted to the bike as that was the way it was designed to be used

I think he's asking whether it's OK to solid-mount the engine to the chassis.

If your talking about "hard mounting Engines" and not using a rubber bush, then it is done and is acceptable

Yep, the reason bike engines are solidly mounted to bikes is generally as they are an additionally stressed member of the frame to some extent.

Some bikes such as the old FJ1200 had rubber mounts (though originally solid mount IIRC).

Its a compromise between frame strengh & better handling or less vibration through the bike.
