HI ALL,
I am in need of some advice -i need to modifiy my headers from my zzr1100-basically i wish to turn each pair outfrom when they are going down out from the c/l of the engine and then turn out and up and then back towards the rear again(prob will read like gobley gookbut i know what i mean)Try a diff way i wish the exhaust to exit approx at half engine height instead of below inc a few bends at the front to avoid the back of the passenger seat then exit using surface exits .people have said do not play with bike headers as it may create probs with running- any ideas
cheers gary

I think you've lost us all, a drawing might help though

So you want to modify the standard bike exhaust to fit the car.

Standard bike exhaust are not the holy grail, just chop what you have about. If you muck it up then either buy something to suit, £300 - £500 or do what I did and get some bends an weld something up instead, £100 - £150 for stainless and a couple of days.

You could have someone make you what your after, not always locost but uisually nice and shiney. Drop deneo on here a line he may be able to help you out.

Can be done. The more important bits are to keep the lengths of the pipes about the same (relative to each other, not necessarily total length) before they reach the collector(s).

Turning them out halfway down rather than underneath the engine shouldn't be a prob. Just look at what Ducatti do these days. My Firestorm zorsts also look a bit like a prototype HotWheels track
