I can't find anything on here about fitting the 4A-GE to a MT75 gearbox. Can it be done using a plate or am I better off swapping to a type 9 and
aftermarket bellhousing?
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
Neil
Of course it will be possible to fit the mt75 to the 4age, but it's probably less hassle (and cost) to use a type 9 and an already available
bellhousing unless you have access to a machine shop to make a suitable space/adapter plate etc etc.

Rather an odd question to be asking in the bike engine'd forum though don't you think?
Quite right, don't know how that happened! Fool
Mabe not so as Yamaha did design the head and the last revision blacktop 20V 4AGE will rev to 9K RPM quite happily
As above if you can make the adapter plate yourself then go that route. Otherwise RAW Engineering do a conversion kit for the type 9 but its around
£350 + VAT
Hows about sourcing a Toyota RWD box from a Celica or something? Would save a lot of hassle I would have thought.
I believe yamaha were did alot of the design on the 16v as well. Cracking little engine.

superb engine, quite bomb proof! as for trying to find a toyota gearbox to fit good luck as the t50 gearbox is like rocking horse shit.
