Which Seven kit should i build?(plus my introduction)

Just thought i'd introduce myself to you lot.
Hi,
I'm Tim, 26yo norfolk resident with a desire to build my first kit car.
Ever since i started my apprenticeship at 16 i wanted to give building a car a go but space time and most importantly Lack of money put holds on my
plans. So instead I spent a fortune keeping my mini on the road along with getting it pretty quick.
Now i'm older, wiser, equipped with a garage and funds i fancy giving that dream a go.
Obviously i'm not planning on buying next week but the planning involved in a project, as you lot know so well, is so involved it's good to
get started early. Not to mention i'm racing a motorcyle this year so funds for this year are tied up.
As things stand atm a bike engined seven style car seems to be the favorite choice. Also this year i'm racing for a suzuki dealership so a
'Busa lump seems like the obvious chioce in a MNR Vortx Rt.
So this is me saying hello. Hopefully i wont ask too many stupid questions along my journey of discovery but i will endevour to use the search
function first.

welcome - keep us informed about your season and let us know what fixtures your racing at - you may even get a few locosters cheering you on
mnr vortex rt+ with bussa power (you goin turbo?!) sounds the mutts...

Why not go locost. The new book (haynes roadster) has plans for bec's and irs and it will cost you less than most kits.

Welcome, sounds like a plan, even without the turbo!
MNR's are very nice, cars and people, but don't discount the rest and make sure you get a sit in and a close look at some before you finally

Now Ive seen the quality of the kit Marc has put pics up of in the MNR gallery as much as Im not a fan of the green colour
the quality of the body is leagues ahead of the other under 10k sevens and he should be up there with the biggest sellers in the kit industry
I fitted my body to my Indy yesterday and got reminded of the back panel what fun!

From memory that kit involves building the chassis from scratch which is way out of my league i'm afraid.
I'm aware that it will be a cheaper way of doing it but if i'm honest with the money i've put into racing this year building a kit car
is a drop in the ocean

Nope not going turbo. I like my power curves linear all the way up without massive jumps as turbo's kick in etc.
If i want more power then the team i'm Riding for this year is a suzuki dealership and engine tuners so they should be able to extract more
ponies and a mate of mine has just started working for PDQ's in slough on there car dyno so setting it up should be a peicce of cake also

hi mate people who run turbo BEC's dont have the power just kicking in its set up so it feels like a very fast NASP

Fair enough. Lots of money though to go that route and seen as i'm still in the budgetting/planning stage i'll leave out dustbin lid sized
turbos for the time being

leave it out and stick with a good old carb engine nice and easy with about 6 wires I love em!!
