Hi,
I am fitting a 2003 R1 engine to my Freestyle. It's fuel injected (something I need to do more research on). I am using everything I can from the
bike in the hope it will be easier to set up if I modify as little as I can. The plan for the tank was to have an aluminium one fabricated and have
the fuel pump from the R1 tank fitted in the bottom of the tank ( as it is in the bike) My concern is will the fact the tank will be mounted alongside
the engine rather than above have any effect on the fuel system/pressure?

The pump will quite happily pump uphill. All it needs is a head of fuel and it will be fine.

I used a bosch pump for a peugeot 405 mi-16, it works perfectly.
PS: Could you make your avatar a teenytiny bit narrower
200 pixels wide is the average!
I'm running a Bosch pump from an Escort RS Turbo. If you use the bike pump you'll need the tank made to take it whereas with the inline pump
you only need a standard pipe/banjo fitting. Should work though.
