How low have people got thier sump? Mine is set flush with the chassis. A little lower would be better for bonnet clearence (when I get one). But there's a lot of road humps and debris on the road these days. I'm not keen on loosing the bottom.

There are a lot of topics regarding sump height, do a quick search.

Ours is 20mm lower than the chassis... it clears speed humps just, other than that, no problem!

I have about 1.5" under sump guard.

Speed humps mean I drive half on the pavement!

I have about 1" or so lower than the bottom chassis rail - shouldn't be too much of an issue (except I'd like to panel the whole thing in and will have to cut a section out)
