Powerspeed (Exhaust Makers)

Hi All,

Has anyone got any experience of these guys?

I spoke to them on the phone and they sound very nice and knowledgeable.

They say they can squeeze an extra 10 - 15 bhp out of my 929 engine and increase my tourqe by about 10ftlbs.

They quoted about £550 + VAT for a stainless steel system (manifold down to modded R1 can only).

How does this price sound? This is for a 4-2-1 system BTW

Cynical old me says , it sounds a bit optimistic and a bit expensive!!

I got my system made there. A bit pricey (mine was £1000 but that was including headers on my V6)
Good quality and customer service imo.

Id say a little optimistic too, maybe 5-10bhp compared to stock bike exhausts that often have EXUP type solenoid flaps to comply with road noise / emission regs etc, but you wont gain 10-15bhp compared to most other 4-2-1 manifolds you can buy / get made for a kit car.

£550+VAT sounds reasonable though for a custom built manifold made to measure on your car TBH, but if its an off-the-shelf item built on a jig its expensive.

bj928 ( big john ) just had his v10 viper exhausts done there...

they are expensive, but very very good quality...

Optomistic on the power but price seems reasonable.

You would be suprised at just the cost of the stainless and there will be quite a few man hours going into a one of manifold like that.

They built the complete stainless system on my Dax V8. They were about a grand approx 4 years ago.

They made up the headers for the V8 in my Cobra. Great work & very capable/friendly. Would certainly recommend them
