Does anyone know where I could buy some sump foam.
Not many use it in BECs, what engine are you planning to use it in?
i can't see the use of it to be honest.
surely it could break up and clog up the oil pick up? reduce the amount of oil you could carry?
I'd prefer to put baffles in the sump (if you're intending to stop the oil sloshing around) and shorten the sump if you really need to
Presumeably you would have to take the sump off to insert the foam so why not tig in a couple of baffles instead? At least they won't disintegrate and clog up the oilways.
I have an indybird, which I bought a few weeks ago. It is fine around left hand bends, but turn right and I fear for the engine,as oil pressure falls rapidly despite 3 litre accusump and baffled sump.I have heard that sump foam and overfill can solve the problem(lives in hope)..............
