Bec coil sticks.

Can a coil stick work intermittently, having no top end power, i seem to have a missfire now and then.
Also, can a bike fuel pump work, but not give it's full flow of fuel.
Cheers Brad.

Brad Ive had coil pack errors before and they can do all sorts

elimination is the only real fixture mate

as for your fuel pump take your Fuel inlet hose off aim into a big bottle of pop ign on and youll soon get the jist of whether its blocked

Check plugs. Had something very similar to this and changing the plugs sorted it. Bike plugs are also different in some way to car plugs. Cleaning and re-gapping dosent make any difference.

the pump is pumping fuel in, other wise the car would'nt run at all, i have also changed the plugs without success, i have checked the coils with a multi meter, and there is a slight difference in readings not much, but there is one. I will just have to get some coils.

What fuel pump are you using, is it a bike pump or a Facet type solid state pump with a regulator? If the latter, then the regulators have a tendancy to strangle flow at the low pressure required for BEC carbs. Solution is to switch to a bike pump without regulator.

Also as Iiyama mentioned, sometimes simply cleaning up plugs doesnt work and the only way around it is to replace them with new ones.

it's a zx6 pump.
