Me and my dad are doing our kit car together and hope to both be able to drive it. My dad being 50ish insurance isnt a problem but with me also it
really bumps it up as im only 22, 1 years ncb, no points or crashes(yet). So anyone been in similar situations and advice on who to try or is a bec
going to be out the question for me?
Thanks
Adam
No claims arnt an issue and if your dad has you as a named driver or vis versa it shouldnt be to bad. I only have a 2l pinto im 24 and with my bro on
the insurance who is 30 i only pay £220 a year
When i was 23 it was £240 dont know if there is a premium on becs
Yo,
I am 24 years old, i have a MAC#1 ZR with a 2.0 Pinto Lump in it. Adrian Flux sorted me out for £350 with a 10K agreed value. I thought that was
acceptable.

Who are you guys with? best quote so far was using mx5 engine and that was about £750 and for the R1 it was £920 for both of us.
I got a quote on a BEC and got quoted £500 ish and i'm 20 with 1yr no claims. That was adrian flux.
Try http://www.insurance4kitcars.co.uk/ they were well cheap for me!!
Else, if you're insured on a different car sometimes they'll have a clause which says "3rd party only on any other vehicle with drivers
permission" in which case you could get your dad to insure the car and drive it 3rd party only. It would obviously get expensive if you pranged
it but insuring you on the BEC might be an expensive thing anyway!!!
put you mum (or any other woman on there) did that with my BMW, and it actually reduced the premium by a few hundred having her as a SECOND
driver
