Nice simple quicky
Is the 3.91 7" ford non LSD Diff suitable for the Fireblade engine?
Thats what I have so need to know if I should get a different one before I fit it?
are you wanting high top speed or quick(er) acceleration?
In a word no, unless you want to do sprints or small circuits where you won't go faster than 110mph.
Ideal ratio for blade is 3.38. You can get away with 3.62.

So ideal for accelaration then but no good for long journeys etc
What will the cruising revs be like. Fairly high?
Time to look for a new one
what size tyres are you using?? As said it looks too low giving 110mph with 185/70/13 tyres for a 98 fireblade
mine equates to approx every 1000 rpm every 10 mph in 6th gear, so top speed is approx 120mph (track proven only
),, cant remember the diff ratio
though sorry mate.
Whats it like cruising round? Any idea which car you sourced it from?
Simon
I was forced (due to a failure of my 3.5 diff a couple of days beforehand) to go to Le Mans one year in my blade with 185/60-13" tyres and a 3.89 diff. It was painful!
Simon - DO NOT go for the 3.92 - go for at least the 3.62.
That is the same as mine and Weldermans and will give 10miles per hour per every 1000 revs with 195.50/15's and therefore around 120 mph top
speed - you need at least this diff - if you just happen to find a 3.38 then fair play but I would try and get a 3.62 for now...
Oh and you say "suitable for push in driveshafts" - there are two sizes of push in driveshafts... Count the spline on the inner end of the
driveshafts to mate it up correctly to the diff...

Some homework to do then tonight. Think I better put the rebuilding of the shafts and cv's on hold for the time being too.

. Not worth going to the trouble of sticking your head in there to read the little tag.
Will start building up the front end while I look for new bits.
I've ot the 3.89 in my fireblade engined fury definately go for the 3.62 driving any distance in mine is painful. Top end is 110 with about 7K at 70mph.
