i am trying to fit a paddleshift, only problem is that the conical steering wheel boss fouls the oval hole in the centre of the paddle, i dont want to mess about with a quick release one & cant move it back as i have limited space & the paddles would be to far away from the steering wheel for my little pinkies, does anyone know where i can buy a smaller boss that fits an allegro splined steering column? sensible answers only please

It doesn't look like you've got a great deal of room behind there anyway, so why don't you extend the boss that you already have?

Just cut it at the existing weld, put in a piece or similar sized tube (say 30mm worth?) and then weld it back up...

Obviously if you aren't a welder then do the above, but just get someone else to weld it for you. If you want it to be perfect then face up all the tubes on a lathe before welding, so that all are square.

It would prob only takehalf an hour, maybe an hour to do it all...

ETA - just reread your post - do you NOT want to move the wheel further back? If so, do something similar to what I suggested, but with the flanged part of the boss...
