I am looking to buy a 2005-2006 or 2007 R1 engine for my build.
I have come accross this 2005 one in Austria which is pretty close to me.
What do you guys think?
It has 10.000 kms (6.250 miles) in it, and the owner says it runs fine.
Comes with the starter and clutch it says in the description...
It is currently up for 650 GBP approx. and buy it now at 900 GBP.
Is it complete for what I need? Or is it easy to buy additional stuff for it?
Should I be aware?
All in all: should I go for it without seeing it? It seems good value...

Wish i could find one that reasonable. Does it come with all the stuff you need? i.e. Throttle bodies, loom, airbox or is it just the bare engine?

It is the bare engine, as far as I see.
What do I need for the build?
I can get the instruments elsewhere, I don't think that is a problem.
Do I need an airbox? I thought I can't fit it under the bonnet anyway, so I need to make one...
So what else do I need? The loom is a valid point. Anything else?

for that kind of money i think you want throttle bodies plug leads and wiring then you going to have to pay two 2 three hundred quid for ecu looks like it could end up being quite expensive

I've got an ECU and loom for a 2004 to 2006 R1 available if you need one. It's the American ECU and loom so doesn't need the coded keys etc. I've also got a UK loom with it as well which would be useful for extending etc.

£250 plus the P&P.

I had this with my 2005 engine but mine is on an Emerald ECU and custom loom.
