Hi
I am fitting a dry sump to a zzr1100and am unsure on 1 pipe,
there is a pipe on a banjo just under the site glass on the engine case,
This is then plumbed to another banjo that joined up to the oil cooler pipe on the side of the sump,
question is was this pipe just for oil level only so can it be capped of? or does it feed oil to the engine somehow?,
as im not sure how to plumb this to the dry sump there is no fixing on the sump for this ita a muzzy sump by the way,
Thanks for any comments
Sean
that pipe feeds into the gearbox it has to be kept . Dont leave it off.
thanks
Will make sure i plumb in then gulp!
just need to figure out where to plumb in as no outlet on the sump for this?
Thanks
Sean
Hi Sean, had a look at my ZZR1100 and the pipe should go onto the front , double banjo connection on the dry sump.
The banjo bolt should be long enough to take 2 banjo connectors with sealing washers between.
Doug.
Hi Doug
This front connection was for the oil feed from the cams to the sump? is that correct?
If that is correct i have a bolt which is long enougth to fit both,
but previously this gearbox feed was connected into the oil cooler line output with a double banjo??
just want to make sure gearbox is getting oil?
Thanks again doug

Hi doug
In that case i could just connect to the front of the sump instead of sealing this off with a bolt,
Just wondering how the gearbox gets the oil feed or if this was a out let not inlet???
Any feed back gratefully received,
Thanks

Sean,
I can't recall how many tappings there were on the front face of the Muzzy's sump.
Their website shows 2 tappings, I wonder if one is a feed and the other a drain?
Other than that, maybe ask Muzzy's?
Doug.
