Sierra P100 axle
FOSSIE - 16/12/04 at 07:39 PM

I am trying to get hold of either a complete axle (preferable) or just the complete diff from a P100 - it must be the sierra type NOT the cortina type.

If you can help, theres cash waiting. I am happy to travel and remove the axle myself if need be.

Please contact Tom on 07764 294361 or on tfossie@hotmail.com

Many thanks

I thought the P100 had a transit axle?

I'm probably wrong, it's just what I thought.

Axles look very similar between both types.

The p100 axle is unique, since it has really really thick tubes and an "oddball" diff which looks like no other. Its all normal atlas dimensions (bolt patterns, PCD etc) just the castings are different. The CWP, for example, will fit any other atlas - but the diff casing has some differences in the casting.

It is very similar to the axle from an early (up to '89) 1600 petrol single wheel transit, but not quite the same.

I'm adamant its the P100 axle i need though!

Thanks anyway.
Tom

Why so specific on the P100 Fossie?

2 reasons - they have a 4.63:1 cwp, which is nice, and the diff casting being the strongest available is ideal for re-tubing and making into a fully floating, twin-taper axle.
