Book chassis trans tunnel

Going back to my original plan and sticking with a bec...

Ok ive got the majority of the chaissis finished, apart from the rear end as i think ill be going IRS rather than DeDion, also need to finish the transmission tunnel.
However will std book trans tunnel entrance be ok for a bike, i assume yes but its always better to ask than have to attack it with an angle grinder later

Yep, mine's a book chassis and is fine for a blade and R1 engine (cos Ive fitted both in its time!). If going for another engine though, you'll nneed to double check that the prop will clear the drivers side footwell edge, as thats the only bit that might be close.

One hint, leave in the tube in that joins the bottom of the footwells, this would normally get in the way of the underside of the gearbox on a car engined install, but on a BEC its not close to anything so adds a bit of strength across the chassis.
