BEC Engine Stand?

I am preparing to swap my existing engine (C) out of the Indy, and put the spare in (D).

Once the C engine is out I am planning on stripping it back, carrying out some repairs, modifications etc. Basically has anyone got any tips on handling the engine once it's out? I can't use a normal engine stand as it won't bolt up to the plates and as I plan on splitting the case to change the gearbox I can't see how to use the engine mounts.

Anyone any tips, or it is just the case that they are so light I can just leave it on the bench?

Cheers

Mike

Just left mine on the bench mate and the floor, no problems.

i made a small frame to stand mine on, holds it up and level nicely, but not quite high enough to work on. Im sure i could do it better next time. I just whipped it up out of 25mm tubes and some 3mm flat bars.

Use a normal engine stand, but bolt it on side ways on
