R1 Mounting bolts

Chaps,

it seems as if there are 2 different sized mounting bolts required for my R1 engine - is this right?

The top mount on the clutch end seems to be M12, what are the 2 top mounts on the gearbox end?

Also what do folks use to secure the lower mountings with?

M10 fine (1.25mm?) if I remember correctly, on the injected 2003 engine anyway.

As to the lower mounts, I have a small tie bar that connects to one of these and I just ground one corner off a bolt so it would sit in the recess properly and poke out the hole to attach the tie bar to (picture /1000 words etc )

I've used 2 m10x1.25 at the top on the sprocket side and an m12x1.25 near the top on the front.

M10 Fine is 1mm and M10 coarse is 1.5.
R1 mounting bolts are M10 x 1.25 and M10 x 1.25 but I have heard that different versions of the R1 engine have different fixings.

For the bottom I used a piece of threaded bar with a not on either end.

It appears that carbed R1's use M10 and M12 but injected use only M10. Just found this out last night.

As always I stand to be corrected
