clutch/throttle stop

How many of you guys fit clutch and throttle stops? If this is required, how did you go about doing it?

--Thanks, Chris

On mine:- M6 rivnut into bulkhead behind pedal. Long M6 socket head bolt and locknut screwed into rivnut and adjusted for travel. Works well, though I'm sure there are loads of other ways of doing it.

Cheers,

Eddy

Thanks for the reply. Did you fit this on both the clutch and the throttle?

I fitted a long M10 coach bolt behind both the throttle and clutch pedals. Coach bolts have a large rounded head which makes a nice stop. A nut on either side of the bulkhead alows easy adjsutment.

Best way to do a throttle stop is to put a solderless nipple on the cable at the end where the mechanism is...

ie clutch or throttle end, not the pedal end

simple, cheap, effective, easily adjustable

Unless you have feet made out of lead
