wont start 919 blade mk
hi everyone
i need some help with the above,tried starting the car after its been sitting 4 months in garage.
it just wont start,took plug out were wet,put the burner on them cleaned them done this four times.it started for a 5 seconds on full choke then
died.plugs wet again.
do you think i should try a new set of plugs again?they were new in the summer last done about 50 miles thats it.
anyone got ant ideas.

drain stale fuel out of float bowls,get new plugs as wet old ones allways cause problems,next time you leave it standing for a few months drain the
float bowl fuel before you put it to bed and it will stop all the ball ache.
if that doesnt work you could have blocked pilot jets caused by stale fuel

I would'nt waste your money on new plugs. Unless you want to give me your old ones.
Clean em again and make sure youve got plenty of battery, careful not to overchoke it,some dont have a choke at all
As OX says though, could well be stale fuel, try some easy start

Is the choke out all the time??
Is it pumping fuel??

ive tried starting it with choke half and full,also tried no choke.
i will try draing the fuel clean the carbs,and get a spare set of plugs just in case .
cant do all that till saturday

With wet/damp plugs you're in for a long wait and a painful battery... new plugs are essential for the first start of a bike engine - we found
that out after a few hours of f*cking around wondering what the problem was. If your plugs are new it's one less thing to be concerned about.

thanks for everyones replys,i stripped the carbs cleaned them all out with carb cleaner put it all back together made no difference.
as hellfire stated i spent ages cleaning the plugs heating them up wouldnt start.
new plugs in today started on the button!!!!
what is it with these bike plugs the old ones have only done 30 miles and they have had it ???

Once they get wet they do seem VERY difficult to clean up again, I dont know whether the fuel reacts with the plug electrode or something?

yeah
over here the same,
thought i had an Coil problem..
Changed the spark on that cilinder en hey presto!
New Sparkplugs on an bike looks for me like an reborn of the engine..

the crap is that they costs 8pounds each over here!!

took the car out done around 4 miles,its got a missfire at low revs ie pulling away,u can hear the exhaust poping a bit as well.
i have new plugs in it,anyone suffered a similar problem?
