engine / prop issues

due to my stupid " do something different" choice of bike engine, i've got clearance issues.

i can get 4" ground clearance below the sump, which will give me a 5" ride height.

i will have to fit a bonnet bulge, but the main problem is the prop.

with the engine sited this way, the centre of my output sprocket, is highter than my diff flange by approx 3"!!.

anything i can do, or is it time to look for another engine???

Is that such a problem? To the prop its no different to an engine having the output 3" across towards the drivers side which Im sure many BECs are. As long as you dont also have a large shift to the left/right and from above it looks fairly straight, then the sum of all the angles shouldnt be too bad I wouldnt think.

its a triumph t955i engine, i can move the engine left to right, but can;t go any lower due to ground clearance.

That angle sounds within the tolerances of a UJ to me. I wouldn't worry.

3iches on how much distance??

what the square distance between the prop and the diff flange??

thats what you need to know to judge exactly your situ...

maybe its only 3x25.4 = 76.2 think the distance = 1500mm??

1,5/0.0762 ==> 19.6mm per meter... isnt very very much...aint it??

Tks

its about 2-2.5 degrees (i think doing it in my head, i cant find a calculator) so that should be fine as long you try and line up the flanges so they are in line from above.
