ZX12-R Oil sender unit size

I need to remotely mount my Oil pressure sender unit but am having trouble trying to work out what size of the current boss is.

My ETB sender unit is 1/8 nptf and it only goes in a tint bit so obviosly not that.

Anyone ?

Doesnt the ETB senders for BEC installations have to be remote mounted??? Have a check of the instructions before going further. Im sure i read something about it when fitting my DD2.

Hi Moa...

Is it the original you are remotely mounting or the ETB one? Our original (Kwak) sender is still in the engine... solid mounted. We have a Spa one which is remotely mounted. IIRC the sender is 1/8 NPT male... this thread fits 1/8 BSPTr and 1/8 BSP female. Use a layer of PTFE tape to ensure a good joint. Can't beat a good joint you can't...

Steve

The engine block thread is 1/4 NPT... we used a reducer to take from 1/4 NPT to 1/8 NPT.

Cheers steve thanks fo that.

Still alittle confused on the battery front dont supose you could help ?

Im thinking that my battery tray isnt as complete as yours but still it should be easy to route.

From my starter motor at the engine i have a thick black cable with a rubber cover on where does this go ?

The other thick black cable on the battery without the red rubber cover where does this go ?

Im more than likely getting on your nerves now ! God help me im only trying to connect the battery i havent even started the main wiring yet.
