IIRC the SVA noise limit for any type of vehicle is 99db.

The SVA guy said that mine measured 100 and so it just passed.

it's actually 101db, mine measured 104.9 so failed!! until I stuffed the customary wire wool in it!!

Def 101db.
The test is done outside clear of walls and and surface that could cause rebound.
The meter is re-calibrated for each test
500mm from outlet and at 45 degrees.
I thought mine was loud, i also have a noise meter (99/100db) but when it was tested only recieved 91db.
The engine will be held at 75% of max POWER not revs.
Done on three occasions
