Newbie

Hi all,

Just thought I would introduce myself and hope you dont mind a Tiger B6 owner infiltrating the ranks. Although my car wont be "low cost" i do intend doing as much as I can in the "locost" way. I have recently finished modifying the chassis to take floor mounted pedals and welded up my own engine mounts etc.

Anyway, I am building my B6 with a 2005 Yamaha R1 and will be fitting a paddle shift kit (off Pathfinder) when i get that far. I am just a few miles from Chester up in the North West - any other owners around here at all???

Well, I have barely started my car but previously had a Zetec Tiger 6 which i built in 1999 /2000 so hopefully can be a useful contributor. Hoping to do the usual track days (when its built) and shows etc and am always up for club meets if there are any??

Cheers
Paul

Welcome, everyone is welcome as the shared knowledge can only help us all.

As you can see in the forum there is a lot more than pure Locost builders with nearly all manufacturers represented and the questions all go toward happy creations.

Hi Tom
I do indeed know the area. Being a mountain biker I get up that way quite a lot (Moel Famau / Moel Arthur) and very nearly bought a house in Eryrys but ended up living in Bagillt (near Flint / Holywell which is where i built the first Tiger). I guess you will know Chester Sportscars then.

Anyway, I will try and get some pictures sorted out now - got some of my old car so may pop them on for starters as my "first effort".

Welcome to the madhouse. This is the best section of the Locostbuilders forum. Regardless of who's kit we are building/have built, we are all united by the BEC.

All bow down to the rice burners.
