Clutch Springs

Is it alright to just replace the clutch springs alone for some Barnett ones on my ZX9 engine or is it worth doing the full conversion I've seen advertised. Its about £99 and looks like its the springs and a new clutch basket thats being supplied. Also, where is the cheapest place to get hold of the stuff?
Cheers

I have just replaced the springs in my zx9r c , but the springs i have taken out where very similar to the ones i've just put in, strength wise,so i might have a set of springs going cheap if you interested.

How similar? I'm after the uprated ones so's to stop the thing slipping. I'm interested if they the right ones.

I will find out, do you know how much of a difference there is between stndard and uprated, it's all a bit new to me.

If its only just started slipping then there's no harm in just trying springs alone, although its worth taking the plates out to check they are in spec and the steels are not blue'd. If its slipped for any length of time though, you're probably looking at new plates as well, whether it be Barnett or OEM Kawasaki.

Nowts slipping yet as I haven't put the engine in yet. I was thinking of replacing them as a matter of course before I did. Or should I not now?

Our ZX12R springs were 0.15m thicker and upto 2mm longer.

It's worth doing to be sure...
