Clutch Cable Diameter - 1.5mm ok?

Will I get away with 1.5mm instead of 2mm which is the thickest I can use with my outers?

Tried with 2mm (cable was a botch though) and it was fine.

The 1.5mm is a MTB brake/gear cable.

BEC has uprated clutch springs.

Thanks,

Pat...

purely on power it wil resist but on wear i won't do it. also because your left foot isn't that lovely for the pedal..

i would do 2mm min.

Tks

the cable I got from MK is 2.5mm thick, ypu're better off going for the thickest cable as once you've made the cable up it would be a shame if you had to go through it all again because the cable was to thin and snapped

As the others have mentioned, Id go thicker mainly for wear resistance more than anything.

also as you know the more you pull from an elestric the easy its cuts in pieces.. this is the same for your cable.. the bigger the tension..
bigger is the wear.. sow going thicker means less wear...(less tension/mm2)

Tks
