Hi Flick - to be honest you're better off doing a search as this topic is very well covered and very subjective, everyone has their own opinion.

How about a ZZR1100, 147 hp as standard and a 1994 engine so no emission worries (worth checking that just to be sure)

£600 engine, carbs, electrics, coil packs, etc

I'm based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire

Cheers

Come on Steve your letting the side down, your Phil Would have been in there straight away!

As Steve says do a search but I would also recommend getting a ride in a CEC and a BEC, then you will have made your mind up BEC!!

Built a bec (stuart taylor, fireblade) then for some reason sold it (how stupid) so buying new project.
Wanted to try something different however ive never been in a cec so have nothing to compare - but im guessing there a bit slower.
Did like blade engine but perhaps something a bit faster - any suggestions? -
(or alot faster with a tank full of nos strapped to it! )

Hi Flick, not doing the quad thing then, for a cec to be as fast as a bec, you would have to spend quite a bit of money, have you seen Complete Kit Car mag this month, in there , there is a feature of someone with a tubo busa Dax, trying to beat the Stigs time around there track, Stig did a 1:17 in a Coninsegg or something, he did'nt beat it though , but he did match his time. Worth thinking about, especially with your talents.
Brad.

A big fat NO CHANCE from the wife with regard to the quad.
My own fault really - she saw me on my mates KFX700 outside MFN just giving it a little tickle on the back two.
Id love to get another bike but id be looking at divorce material.
So its back to cars - Id love an ultima, but probably wouldnt end up driving it. Just put it in the garage and stare at it thinking how much money ive chucked on my credit card.
Miss throwing my 7 around something rotten. So I thought might as well build another - but with a bit more pep!
As long as the wife thinks because its 1000cc or 1200cc its only as fast as her pug 206 Its all good
Just cant mention puting nos on it as shes just seen 'the fast and the furious' and now knows what it does - doh
