Honda CBR1000 Engine, Looking for Clutch Advice
Hi People.
I've got a CBR1000 engine mounted into my car.
The hydraulic slave cylinder is far too big to put back with the adapter and propshaft now in the way.
Looking for advice about getting the whole thing working. Would prefer to have a mechanical one if possible.
What have you done on your car?

i know of a couple of owners with the CBR100RR Blade motors with the same clearence issues due to the prop and drive flange, this has been got round
by spaceing off the cylinder and makeing a longer push rod for the clutch.
IIRC the spacers are about 60 mm or so long
This may be an option for you

not sure if user Moorron uses the cbr1000 in his car, may be worth a u2u

Was sure I'd got pics of clutch set up in my photo archive - cant find em.
I'm running a CBR1000FP
Original engine, builder had made up a bracket out of Ali - which vibrated itself to bits (collapsed turning on to the Mulsanne straight! )
Dunno what model engine you are?
Current setup (still not perfect - was running out of time for LeMans this year)
The casing of the slave housing has been split (effectively the cylinder would pop out if there was no rod attached)
The rod has been extended (as mentioned on other post by 60mm or so)
A 3 pronged metal bracket has been made - so the slave clears the prop shaft joint - adaptor.
Be aware that you can have too much clutch rod travel, and the plates will fall off, out of their housing.
(if that makes no sense - I'll try and have a dig around for photos, or get over to take some new ones)
