What's it worth?

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the correct section but...need some advice please?

I have a genuine westfield megabusa silencer with the cat inside it. Bought it for the SVA, took it off when it passed and now have another box fitted. It cost me £400 new from westfield, how much do we reckon it's worth before I ebay it?

They (BEC brigade) are all waiting for you to put it on eBay, without a reserve price.

Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

There is one for sale on ebay, so if you just wait for 3 days and 2 hours you will know.

Cheers, will have a look!

Thought about hiring it but it is a larger bore than usual I think....

If (when) it goes on ebay it will have to have some sort of reserve - it owes me too much.....

What is the bore size of the exhaust? And why don't you just use it, or is that cat so restrictive?

Hi Rich

Speak to Bazzer as he may well have it off you.

Chris

I think the bore size is 2 1/4". I have passed an MOT without it since SVA - Q plate. The reason I took it off is because I had already bought a similar one without a cat during the build, and it seemed daft not to fit it - it must flow better surely? Sounds better anyway....

Chris, I'll drop Baz a line - didn't think because I would have though he still has his from before the turbo fit.

Baz sold his thinking he wouldnt need it (he's not on a Q plate), then found they tested him at cat levels and had to borrow one last couple of MOTs.
