Accusump ?

Would anyone have an interest in one ? I know its near Xmas an all that but I'm trying to get a better price of These guys, as it is its cheap but £40 worth of postage.

Any interest, I'm in for one anyway but may be able to haggle them down a bit on postage and the £40 to the UK will hopefully cover more than one as its via ups and they normally have a bigger size n weight per parcel than just one would be if that makes sense ?

If we do go for it they could be collected from here or I'm happy to post on at cost to any UK postcode, not looking to make a fast buck you can see the single price in the link so you know where we are starting from.

Any potential blackbird owners (and recent reading tells me there is a couple at least) buy one, cheaper than a new motor.

No I hadn't, thanks for the tip off, just looked them up, they come in at £100 more for the same spec though, not as bad as Merlin, they quote £175 more.

Some useful info on there though.

I might be interested as I've just bought a bird lump. Like you say, it's a bit near xmas.

Hi Piece of advise

Never go with the electronic valve this is a small valve and it takes too long to recharge the accusump once it is dumped the oil, thus you hit a corner hard it dumps the oil, it hten tries to refill ready for the next surge and it is much slower filling and you have some or no oil to dump in the engine you know the rest (bang)

I had a accusump 4 pint fitted witha manual valve which i mounted under the dash for easy access and was on a blackbird engine also fitted one to a zx12r and both performed as they should no probelms,

Also after lots of experimenting with the oil levels and changes this is important too, as too much oil in the engine causes problems,

I would recommend 4 pint with manual valve every day of the week on the bonus side its cheaper too,

I think also the electronic valve after speaking with mk was a one way type valve that they had problems with they also changed to a manual valve,

I'm listening, the electric valve I would use though is open when ignition is on, closed when ignition is off, a sorta idle mans manual valve

So they advise you yes but as the valve is small its very slow on the refill, check with mk they had the valve apart to check it speak to steve he wasnt very happy with it,

Im, only sdvising on my experience of fitting 2 of them and had no problems with both road or track, i would always go manual,

But of course the choice is yours,

By the way you are not john ison with the old mk gt car by any chance if you are you know more than me on this subject???

What I meant was I was listening to you, not Canton, I agree with you to, I would use a simple but free flowing electric valve rather than a manual one, I never remembered to close the valve on my old manual ones.

Yup, that be me, you will also remeber then that my work involves lots of pneumatic control work, I just haven't yet plucked up the balls to make my own out of a pneumatic cylinder, maybe I should try ?

Any takers if it works ?

Sod it, I am gonna try one, keep you all informed.

If i was in the market for one that is hell of a price must say.

Must say as said before Jon does know his stuff on this and gave me great advise and help in the past thats why mine worked,

Good luck with it jon im sure there will be takers on it at that price?
