cbr 1000 engine

hi ive just bought a cbr 1000 engine out of a g reg bike for £125 do you think this will be any good for a locost. what power are these engines it the carb version

good engine them. good midrange and quick too. all these were carbs i think. some guys on here use em.

bhp will be on loads of websites.

make sure you search for cbr1000f.

the f is very important.

The power delivery is very linear - quite torquey but very heavy.

135bhp 77lbft

Dead cheap though.

Not the best top end due to the reduction gear, but still capable of making a Locost going indecently fast.

You could also look for posts under the usernam Kissy as he had one in his.
