PCIIIUSB or PCIIIr
Next question, title says it all.
2003 R1, PCIIIUSB or PCIIIr. The r comes with the ignition module built in as far as I can tell. The USB has it as an add-on option but doesn't
list the price on the UK site.
Edited to change question slightly. Is there any need for the ignition module?

Depends what you want to do with it and how deep your pockets are.
If you want to race it seriously then go for the PCIIIr. If it's for road use and a few trackdays I'd personally go for the cheaper USB.
At least this way, it gives you the option of adding the ignition module at a later date if you feel the need for it.

Road and track-day is the idea.
Just been digging deeper into their website and it seems the PCIIIr is more for racing or very heavily tuned engines.

Next question.
Where do you buy them. The dynojetuk website says 270ish quid but when you go to the dynojetonline buying page it then says 300+.
PDQ seem to have the same prices as dynojet say they should be. Anybody used them?
There's none on ebay for R1 just now.

A few months back PDM in Bexhill were selling them for I think £250ish. Try giving them a ring.

PCIIIr is an older design and by all accounts is a bit fragile. The USB version should be more reliable and if you need the ignition module you can
always get it.
I got mine on ebay for < £200 - just keep an eye for them

I'll keep an eye on ebay then. Still got another 5 or 6 weeks before I need it. If I get to then with nothing showing up I'll just get a
new one.

To give you an idea, my ex demo PC3r was about £155 or I could have had a new one for around £200 so a fair saving on normal UK prices. If you cant
find one on Ebay see if you can get one from the USA as they are much cheaper over there.
