R1 Exhaust manifold question / wanted

Hi All

I'm trying to find out if a standard R1 (2001) exhaust manifold (downpipes) run under the sump or alongside it. I'm using the engine in its normal configuration and would like to use the standard manifold if possible, but don't have the space for this to run under the sump. I can't tell from the manual.

If it'll fit alongside and anybody has one for sale, I have the money waiting!

Regards

Wyn

The 1998 manifold runs under the sump so I'm pretty sure that the later model will be the same. I guess that the standard manifold will be of little use unless you plan to cut the 4 pipes and weld in your own 4-into-1

There's a possibilty that I'l have space under the sump - if not, I may be able to adapt the existing manifold.
